Oh, how I have missed your sweet, sweet sun! I am so thankful to call you home once again! I went out the other day after a night of rain, and came across the most amazing place! Flowers blooming, and grass green as ever. Luckily, I had the lovely Danielle Nagel with me and I was able to capture her in this lush place.

Months ago, T and I saw an incredible movie called “Moonrise Kingdom”. I was immediately connected with the character of Suzy Bishop (and not because we share a name) and started scheming up Halloween costumes…
So what do you think this year has brought? Wait and see..
Last month, I had the amazing opportunity to pack a bag and travel with the darling Leos. We spent a week in paradise on the island of Kauai, taking a hiatus from the duties of our everyday to celebrate life and each other’s company. So happy to find that on our last day, Sissel Byington snuck the two shots above as well as others that captured the beauty of such unbelievable place. Our trip to kauai was one to remember!
A few months ago, I got a call from one of my most animated friends inviting me to be part of what is now the video following. It is a commercial for the android app, “Every Me”, created by the boys at Sprinkle Lab, a production company out of the bay area. My morning was spent playing chef with friends I had met when working for Invisible Children. And now, they have their very own company.

i love to wear hats.
so i was super stoked when asked to shoot with brixton for summer 2012. got to meet some rad people, who i will continue to respect for their style and creativitiy. seriously one of the raddest companies out there; amped on you, brixtons.

summer is nearing, and though san diego has never felt more like home, there is one thing i miss the most about living the desert.
summer nights.
i ache for that warm huuuug i’m overcome with when i walk outside. i miss having friends come over without calling and watching them play music in the livingroom. i miss the slower pace of desert living, the fact that you run into five people you know whenever you leave the house, and having church in the middle of an epic garden… i miss the desert and am so happy that T and i are heading back soon.. i’m ready to share all the beauty it has to offer… even in the summertime.
